A Crash Course in the Emerging Endtime Prophecy Heresy

In the first book of the
Bible we find an intriguing clue to the possible lineage of the coming
Antichrist…. In Genesis 3:14-15
we read the response of God as he, so to speak, takes Satan to the
woodshed…. This is one of the most pivotal portions of scripture in the entire
Bible. It sets up the battle between the seed
of the woman… and the
seed of Satan…. The Hebrew word translated seed
is the word zera, meaning “offspring,

Part One of this article series on “Nephilim Eschatology” drew an outline of these popular false teachings arising in the evangelical world. These teachings speculate that there will be a return of the lecherous “Watchers” (space aliens, extraterrestrials) of the apocryphal Book of Enoch to planet earth to copulate with female earthlings in an all-out demonic effort to thoroughly contaminate the human gene pool (DNA)—resulting in the eternal damnation for all demon/human hybrids: i.e., the Nephilim. Those who teach and promote these salacious sci-fi scenarios have contorted the Scriptural text — most especially the foundational Genesis record—into a myth focused upon the X-rated bestial behavior of dark ghastly entities returning through unseen portals in the heavenlies. They are also revivifying and re-engineering the old horrific Serpent Seed heresies. What follows is an in-depth research report on the disturbing rise of a new hybrid Serpent Seed false doctrine, its history, its associations, and its far-reaching implications.
BACK TO GENESIS: LAYING A FALSE FOUNDATION
Part One noted that the biblical foundation laid by God in Genesis 6 has been shifted from man’s personal sin to a focus on invading gods and demonic DNA, and where Christ’s prophecy concerning “the days of Noah” is altered to fit the Nephilim scenario. Additionally, in the emerging Nephilim Eschatology the Genesis 3:15 account is also abused, and reinterpreted along the lines of “Serpent Seed” adherents to fit this false end-time message. Tom Horn, the biggest purveyor of the Nephilim Eschatology scenarios, has explained how Genesis 6 and Genesis 3:15 are mixed together to create the new hybrid Serpent Seed doctrine:
Daniel’s verse [Dan. 2:43] troubled [Chuck] Missler and [Mark] Eastman because it seemed to indicate that the same phenomenon that occurred in Genesis chapter 6—where non-human species or “non-seed” mingled with human seed and produced Nephilim—would happen again in the end times. When this verse from Daniel is coupled with Genesis 3:15, which says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed [zera, meaning “offspring,” “descendents,” or “children”] and her seed,” an incredible tenet emerges—that Satan has seed, and that it is at enmity with Christ.[4]

The “Satanic seed” mentioned above is taught to be a literal, physical, and biological “Serpent Seed”—one that is genetically passed on to successive descendents by the devil and his supposed actual physical offspring. This is completely at odds with the context and actual teaching of the Genesis 3:15 passage and is a deviant view. In subsequent writings, Tom Horn continues this theme by postulating that the coming Antichrist will be an actual biological descendent of Satan. This forms the basis of the newly emerging Nephilim Eschatology heresy:
Given the abundant and universal prophecies that the “end times” will witness what we have been calling a ‘reopening of the gates of heaven’ and the descending of a ‘savior,’ it’s important to note that from the Middle Ages forward, many church leaders have believed that the Antichrist would ultimately represent the return of the Nephilim—the union of a demon and a human….Phobos clarifies this for Joe in our novel, The Ahriman Gate: Joe raised the special container with a heavy sigh. “So, if Apollyon is somehow embodied in Apol, we could actually be carrying the embryo of the Antichrist here?”
That’s correct. According to the Bible, the Antichrist will be ‘the son of perdition,’ the male progeny of the Greek apoleia, or Apollyon. The implication couldn’t be clearer—the Man of Sin will be the physical offspring of the destroyer demon, a transgenic of the highest order.” [AG, pp. 326-327]….
Yet any day now, he told himself, he [Apol/Apollyon] would triumph. His son, the son of perdition, would inevitably be conceived. It had to. The Enigma was about to open, and the Master would step through it. He would expect a body, a host for his transmigration; the biblical seed of Satan depended on it. 5] [AG, pp. 157-158]
The above excerpt appeared in an online advertisement for Tom Horn’s 2007 book, Nephilim Stargates: the Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers. It is important to observe the mechanics of this quote. Horn has included his fictional narrative, The Ahriman Gate as if it were a credible source, blending it into his revived “Serpent Seed” teaching. Notice how Horn concludes this narrative from his fictional book (The Ahriman Gate)—writing in his nonfictional book (Nephilim Stargates)—as he speculates on the return of this Nephilim race:
If the Antichrist is in fact at length the physical offspring of a demon, not
only will he be the exact opposite of Jesus (son of God) but the forerunner of the return of the
Nephilim. This fact could be contemporary given that Jesus said the end
times would be as the days of Noah….[6]

This strange mixing of fiction and nonfiction is becoming a familiar trend in evangelical authors. It appears to be a highly effective and emotive method of promoting themes that are opposed to the Word of God. Fiction characteristically engages the reader by its imagery and fantasy that provoke feelings and emotions. Researcher Christine Pack picked up on this trend in her recent review of The Harbinger:

that are contrary to Scripture, but which the author wants to claim as truth.

The same could be said of Tom Horn, who relies heavily upon mythological fables for his fantastic theologies. Horn and his many cohorts, such as Chuck Missler (see quotations at the top of this article), are all promoting a new variation on the Serpent Seed heresy, but this time around with a definite eschatological bent. Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman have described their view of this demonic-human sexual encounter in their book Alien Encounters:The notion that the Antichrist would be born by the union of an incubus and a human female dates back at least several hundreds of years to the Middle Ages…. The notion that fallen angels can consort with a human female and produce viable offspring is quite startling and indeed foreign to most of us in the 20th century…. If Satan and his minions were capable of this in the days of Noah, there is every reason to believe that they still are…. Suffice it to say that if angels can appear physically; take men by the hand; fight with men; and form eyes, ears, skin, etc., then the manifestation of reproductive organs is also within their capabilities. DID SATAN SPAWN “A REPTILIAN RACE”?
Heavily laced with extra-biblical revelation, freemasonry, and pagan mythology, Tom Horn’s teachings expand and further embellish this newly engineered “Serpent Seed” teaching. In the following excerpt Horn launches into far-fetched vistas in his surmisings about hybrid, mythological, godlike creatures re-appearing in the end times:
…Yet upon reading Virgil’s text, the divine son that comes of the Sibyl’s prophecy [pagan oracle] is a savior unknown to Biblical theology. “He” is to be spawned of “a new breed of men sent down from heaven” who receive “the life of gods, and see Heroes with gods commingling.” According to the Sibyl’s prediction, this “messiah” would be the son of Jupiter and come when the Roman god Saturn returned to reign over the earth in a new golden age (the Novus Ordo Seclorum), when Apollo rises again through mystical “life” power given to him from the gods.
…According to the Sibyl, the New Order of the Ages occurs when a special “son” is born on earth, a new messiah who comes of “a new breed of men sent down from heaven” when “heroes” and “gods” are blended together. This sounds eerily similar to what the Watchers did during the creation of Nephilim, to what scientists are doing this century through the creation of transgenic human-animal chimeras, and to what the Bible actually describes as the Antichrist being the “son” of perdition” (2 Th 2:3, Apoleia, from which we make Apollyon, the demon destroyer). Note the similarity of the names Apollo and Apollyon.
…He will represent the embodiment of a very old super-intellegent [sic] spirit. As Jesus Christ was the “seed of the woman” (Gen. 3:15), he will be the “seed of the serpent.” Though his arrival in the form of a man was foretold by numerous Scriptures, the broad masses will not recognize him for what he is: paganism’s ultimate incarnation—the “beast” of Revelation 13:1.[8] [bold added]
Quoting the late J.R. Church, former co-host of the syndicated Christian television program Prophecy in the News with Gary Stearman, Horn promotes the idea of a “reptilian race”—literal descendent offspring of the “Serpent Seed”—in his book Apollyon Rising 2012:
J.R. Church makes an interesting point that since this activity [demons mating with humans] was satanic in nature, it refers to the “seed of the serpent ”that was at enmity with Christ. “The concept of a reptilian race continues throughout the Bible as a metaphoric symbol of the devil,” he wrote in his Prophecy in the News magazine, February 2009. “Later Scriptures add the term ‘dragon,’ with the implication that these other-worldly creatures were designed with the DNA code of a reptilian race.” Church went on to state how some of these satanic creatures were depicted as “bat-like gargoyles, or winged dragons” in ancient art, and that we should not be surprised that “a humanoid-type reptilian race could cohabit with human women and produce a race of giants.”[9] [bold added]
It must be pointed out that nowhere in Scripture can one find any reference to a reptilian race of satanic-human deviants. This is utterly wild conjecture. How rational evangelicals can give any credence to these preposterous suppositions remains to be explained.
PROMOTING AND PROPAGATING “SERPENT SEED” HERESY
Both Horn and Stearman promote other popular authors peddling the same heresy. Douglas Hamp, author of Corrupting the Image: Angels, Aliens, and the Antichrist Revealed, is a case in point. Hamp’s book has been heavily promoted on the Internet. Note Hamp’s nonfictional book description—as this book is listed in many online ministry bookstores—including Horn’s and Stearman’s:
Something ominous is coming upon the world: it is Satan’s final effort in the battle to destroy the image that man was created in, which has been raging since the beginning of time. If Satan can destroy the image, then he can avert his own destruction. The prophecy of Genesis 3:15 states the serpent will one day mix his seed with humanity as a counterfeit of the Messiah. Jesus told us that the last days will be like the days of Noah when fallen angels mixed their seed with humanity. In the Book of Daniel we read that “they” will again mingle with the seed of men. How so? Satan will use man’s desire to be his own god to deceive him into believing the ultimate lie – that his fallen messengers are both the creators and saviors of man. He will not do this openly but will deceive mankind through demons which are masquerading as ”aliens” who are spreading the message that the inhabitants of the earth can evolve to be like them and obtain transcendent powers. Finally, the seed of the Serpent will come; he will be a man who will be greater than his fellows, who will understand sinister schemes and shall rise up and become the Antichrist. That day of fulfillment is nearly upon us![10] [bold added]
The titles of his book evidence the same fascination with “Serpent Seed” themes:

As a former assistant pastor of a large evangelical congregation, with the backing of many well-known Christian leaders, Hamp is not easily dismissed in regard to these false teachings. Many will heed, follow, or promote what he teaches based on such credentials and glowing endorsements. This means that these “Serpent Seed” false teachings are rapidly being diffused across a vast spectrum of churches. The implications are staggering. These “Serpent Seed” teachings are reaching people in the pews, most of whom have no idea about its sordid history and offensive ideology, and many who are only minimally acquainted with how to read their Bible. As David James has recently stated, “The heart of a biblical hermeneutic is the commitment to understanding the literary context of a passage.” But many people have already been influenced by the new coded Bible methods, and have already accepted the integration of occult, pagan and extra-biblical source materials into various end-time scenarios.
Hamp was a featured speaker at the Branson Summit 2012: the Final Prophecies Are Here conference held July 13-15 with Horn, Stearman, Chuck Missler, Joseph Farah, Jonathan Cahn, L.A. Marzulli, Bill Federer, and Noah Hutchings, et al.[13] And L.A. Marzulli, profiled in Part One of this article series, addressed the topic: “The Final End Game—Seed of the Serpent.”[14]
DID SATAN BEGAT CAIN?
Tinkering with the biblical text in this manner to extract such prurient doctrine is not new. What makes the newer strains of this false teaching even more invasive than the original, besides its seductive and lascivious eschatology, is the easy availability and rapid accessibility to infect multitudes of souls on the interconnected cyber super-highway.
Here is an article excerpt from another Christian writer entitled, “The Serpent Seed – Part 1.” While questioning the veracity of the other troublesome elements inherent in the “Serpent Seed” false teaching, the author favorably links to the websites of both Steve Quayle (quoted in Part One of this article) and Tom Horn. (In a separate posting, he favorably reviews Douglas Hamp’s book cited above, Corrupting the Image: Angels, Aliens, and the Antichrist Revealed.)[15] Note how often this author refers to “speculation”:
…I think that all the inhabitants of the ark were of unadulterated DNA and that the seed of Cain, if there ever was such a thing, disappeared with the flood. However I know of one expositor (whom I highly respect) who speculates that Japheth had nephilim tainted DNA although I do not know how that is possible as I described above. It could be that Noah had another wife at some point and that Shem and Japheth do not share the same mother. However, considering that God’s purpose of the flood was to rid the world of human/nephilim DNA then I cannot see how God would allow a nephilim hybrid onto the ark. There is speculation that the serpent (Satan?) who tempted Eve, actual [sic] seduced her and was the father of Cain… for now, let’s assume that this scenario is true. That would make Cain the serpent’s seed as would all the hybrids, nephilim, and chimeras as described in Genesis chapter 6 and elsewhere, just in a different manner or by different entities. The serpent’s seed would be a being that is either the offspring of the watchers or has had their DNA altered like maybe with an anal probe on board a flying saucer.[16] [bold, color, underscore added]
Did Satan copulate with Eve producing Cain—the physical, literal, genetic offspring of Satan, the Serpent? Of course not! This is rank heresy! This heresy is responsible for much horrible racism! The author failed to definitively and unapologetically point out this obvious false teaching, but instead gives deference to his favored authors. He then propagates these deceptions by following a familiar descent into the now familiar UFO lunacy which is also derived from Nephilim Eschatology.
The author of this article does allude to the fact that there is little difference between Satan’s “seed” producing Cain and the Watcher’s “seed” producing Nephilim. In both cases they are referred to as “Serpent Seed”! And herein lies the problem. It illustrates the evolution of an entirely new variation of the old “Serpent Seed” heresy. This pernicious doctrine has terrible roots, and the potential to produce terrifying fruits. Just as those who blame the Flood on the mythical Nephilim, overlooking mankind’s sin (thereby diminishing the Gospel message), purveyors of the “Serpent Seed” heresy bypass the first reference to the Gospel in the Bible (Genesis 3:15)—to propagate their wicked tales and X-rated suppositions. Where will this false teaching take the church? We can look to its origins for a clue.
Chronicling the “Rise of Charismatic Dominionism,” Herescope posted an article last summer tracing the “Serpent Seed” heresy, and other currently popular deceptions, back to the Latter Rain movement of the 1940s, specifically to a false teacher named William Branham. This is significant because Branham’s aberrant beliefs have formed the foundation of the doctrines of the New Apostolic Reformation movement:
Al Dager, in his key book VENGEANCE IS OURS: THE CHURCH IN DOMINION (1990) chronicled the
early history of the various Dominionist streams. He examined the phenomenon of
“Charismatic Dominionism” which began in the Latter Rain movement
during the 1940s. (Dager, p. 49) Key leaders included Franklin Hall, who taught
that “fasting” could be “a means of bringing about revival and
the ‘restoration’ of the Church” in the endtime days. Hall, who went off
the deep end into UFO-ology and demon gods,
astrology and mythology, taught that men could become “immortal while in
their present flesh-and-blood bodies.” (Dager, p. 51, 53)
William Branham, a pentecostal preacher who heard “the Voice” and went into trances, (Dager, p. 57)
was influenced by Hall’s strange teachings. Branham came up with a doctrine
that the Church was going through evolutionary “progressive stages of
sanctification,” based on his synthesis of “the Zodiak, [sic] the
Egyptian pyramids, and the written Scriptures.”(Dager, p. 55) Branham concocted an extremely
controversial “Serpent Seed” teaching, which is “based on a
twisted interpretation of Genesis 3:13” that Eve was sexually seduced by
the serpent and produced a genetically mutant offspring. (Dager, p. 56)[18] [bold

In a 1986 issue of his Media Spotlight newsletter Dager provides further background to Branham’s “Serpent Seed” false teaching. Note the similarities to the modern variation proffered by Tom Horn and his associates:

THE TREE IN THE GARDEN HAS TO BE JESUS. All right. If the Tree Of Life is a person, then the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is a person ALSO. It can’t be otherwise. Thus the Righteous One and the Wicked One stood side by side there in the midst of the Garden of Eden. Ezekiel 28:13a “Thou (Satan) hast been in Eden, the garden of God.” Here is where we receive the true revelation of the `Serpent’s seed.’ Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent. It says in Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.” This beast was so close to a human being (and yet was pure animal) that he could reason and talk. He was an upright creature and was somewhat in between a chimpanzee and a man, but closer to a man. He was so close to being human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. When this happened, God cursed the serpent. He changed every bone in the serpent’s body so that he had to crawl like a snake. Notice what God said to them in the garden. Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed, It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.” If we give credit to the Word that the woman did have a Seed, then the serpent must have surely had a seed also. If the Seed of the woman was a man-child apart from the man, then the seed of the serpent will have to be in the same pattern, and that is another male must be born apart from human male instrumentality…. As the Seed of the woman was literally God reproducing Himself in human flesh, so the seed of the serpent is the literal way that Satan found he was able to open the door to himself into the human race. It was impossible for Satan (for he is only a CREATED spirit-being) to reproduce himself in the manner which God reproduced Himself, so the Genesis account tells how he produced his seed and introduced or injected himself into the human race. Also recall that Satan is called the `serpent.’ It is his seed or injection into the human race we are speaking of. Before Adam ever had carnal knowledge of Eve, the serpent had that knowledge ahead of him. And that one born of it was Cain. Cain was of (born of, begotten of) that “Wicked One”. I John 3:12. The Holy Spirit in John could not in one place call Adam the “Wicked One” (for that is what he would be if he fathered Cain) and in another place call Adam the “Son of God” which he was by creation. Luke 3:38. Cain turned out in character like his father, a bringer of death, a murderer.[20] [bold added]
According the Branham, the “sin” in the Garden that led to the fall of mankind was not Adam’s and Eve’s disobedience in eating the forbidden fruit from the forbidden tree—but a sexual act between Satan and Eve leading to the birth of Cain! In order to perpetrate this false teaching, Branham had to twist the text in other places too, like personifying the two trees. If “eating the fruit” meant “sexual relations” then the trees would have to be persons instead of real trees.
Branham’s false “Serpent Seed” doctrine—destroys the foundation of the Gospel of salvation. Branham’s heresies from the 1940s are alive and well today within the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and IHOP movements. Shockingly, Branham’s beliefs are now rapidly gaining ground among conservative camps of evangelicals via the Nephilim Eschatology heresy. Heresy begets more heresy. Coupled with the Nephilim Eschatology fabrications, and the additional Genesis 6 distortions, Branham’s aberrant teachings are continuing to morph into even more frightening heresies posing as biblical truth.
‘SERPENT SEED’ TEACHINGS: BRITISH ISRAELISM and IDENTITY
One online author has referred to Branham’s “Serpent Seed” heresy as “interspecies and interplanar adultery,”[21] which highlights the sordid core of this damnable heresy. In a separate writing, while examining the racist and anti-Semitic roots of Dominionism, this same writer links this false teaching to the nasty twin offshoots known as British Israelism and Christian Identity. (He is quoting from an article about the late charismatic evangelist who founded her own temple, Aimee Semple McPherson[22]):

Al Dager outlines the overtly racist and anti-Semitic doctrines of the Christian Identity movement (closely related to British-Israelism). Note that “Israel-America” is an offshoot of British-Israelism, which possibly explains the current fascination with codes and prophecies that conjecture America’s role in endtime eschatology. This “Israel-America” belief closely parallels the teachings of Nephilim Eschatology, and patriotic Americans such as Joseph Farah and Jonathan Cahn have already been appearing with Tom Horn and Chuck Missler in public forums. It is inexplicable that these evangelical leaders would be associating with those whose teachings are so closely allied to racism and anti-Semitism! Make no mistake about it—the common denominator in doctrine in these movements is the “Serpent Seed” heresy. As Al Dager explained:

This Manifested Sons of God false teaching that the “church as the incarnation of God, will manifest Christ on earth” means that the church becomes Christ—takes the place of Christ upon the earth. If so, then there would then be no purpose for Christ to return. The church would wield the same power, sovereignty and authority on earth as the Lord Jesus Christ, in His physical absence. This blasphemous doctrine becomes important as we continue to examine the “Serpent Seed” heresy. And it may explain why the focus has shifted to the return of the Nephilim instead of the return of Jesus Christ.

One critic of the New Apostolic Reformation identifies yet another aberrant relative to the “Serpent Seed” heresy threatening

These “Elected Seeds” will make up part of the “New Breed.” This “New Breed” is an elite group of believers endowed with supernatural power that enables them to be part of the “dread warriors” that God is raising up in our generation. John Wimber taught that this army would eventually subdue the nations….[31] [bold added]
Jewel Grewe of Discernment Ministries and her late husband Travers van der Merwe, also traced these elitist doctrines back to the aberrant schools of Gnosticism, Mysticism, and Rosicrucianism in their booklet, Strange Fire: the Rise of Gnosticism in the Church. Note these excerpts that indicate that there is an elite mentality amongst those who teach these doctrines, and they believe they are an elect breed:

1988 proclaims that the Lord looked at him and said, “I have called the

One observer, testing the bad fruit of the “elected seed” of these “New Breed” heresies reports:
Ernie Gruen, a local pastor who initially promoted and gave citywide credibility to KCF pastors in the early
1980s, cut his connections in 1990. Concerned about KCF’s plans to push its
teachings worldwide, Gruen published a 132-page insider’s account, based on
taped sermons and conversations and interviews with parents who had enrolled
their kids in KCF’s Dominion school.

Though he’d once promoted these doctrines himself, Gruen became convinced that the movement was turning into an
end-times cult, marked by what he summarized as “spiritual threats, fears,
and warnings of death,” “warning followers to beware of other Christians” and exhibiting “a ‘super-race’
mentality toward the training of their children.”[34] [bold, color added]

This sounds similar to the recent Nephilim Eschatology that teaches that other “serpent seed” descendents—half-demon, half-human creatures called Nephilim—are back on planet earth with an evil end-time procreation plan. In light of the multiple heresies of British Israelism and Christian Identity, other ominous and disturbing aspects of the “New Breed” teaching relating to Dominionism come to light. Speaking of a former victim of a Joel’s Army church, the writer notes:

She may have real cause for concern. As Wimber, the late founder of The Vineyard, put it in one of his most famous
and fiery sermons, one that is still frequently cited by Joel’s Army followers:

As far back as 2005, Herescope has warned Christians about these spreading false doctrines and their viable potential to jumpstart false beliefs into ungodly actions:

Al Dager explained that Franklin Hall, an early teacher of Dominionism (see Herescope post “Who Invented Dominionism?”), believed that this elect “man-child company” could “choose who will occupy the earth… those who do not find favor with the man-child company will be executed. (p. 98) This violent teaching is still widely prominent in the NAR today. For example, recently Ron Gatlin’s OpenHeaven.com sent out an e-mail newsletter on July 19, 2012, with an article titled “Supernatural Cleansing,” which described a vision that he had about the new breed and elect seed:

As a young man I worked summers on a large cattle ranch in Texas and later as a mature man owned a large herd of cattle. I remember that at some point the cattle were gathered, and the best cows were selected to remain in the herd as breeding stock for the next season. Others were sold to go to other places for other purposes. Some cows were not selected because they did not have a calf with them. Either they had failed to breed and give birth to a live calf, or they had lost it someway.
…God is in the process of cleansing, preparing, and selecting an army of pure-hearted holy humble and mature kingdom sons for the purpose of multiplying the seed of the kingdom into the God-cleansed earth and the heavenly atmosphere upon and around it. [bold added]
Ron McGatlin’s radical ideas above, which fully represent the current beliefs of the NAR, dovetail perfectly into the Nephilim Eschatology. And this is a very disturbing fact.

This lengthy article lays out the basic documentation for a very serious crisis that is rapidly surfacing in the evangelical world. It is outside the scope of this article to refute these emerging doctrines, but rather our purpose was to demonstrate how the emerging Nephilim Eschatology has incorporated elements of the highly offensive Serpent Seed heresy. Other articles we have written** lay out the broad scope and wide influence of these popular end-time teachers and their wild speculations about early Genesis and the last days.It is time for those in leadership to separate from those who are teaching these virulent blasphemies. Ultimately, what we believe will have a direct bearing upon what we do—either good or bad. The reader is urged to flee from these Nephilim Eschatology teachings, and its progenitor, the original “Serpent Seed” heresy. Let us and cling to the pure and unadulterated

THE TRUTH:
What is the Truth in Scripture? Genesis 3:15 speaks of a promised Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, who would defeat Satan at the Cross with a fatal blow: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.”
Genesis 4:1 explicitly states how Cain came to be: Now the man [Adam] had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain…” The Bible says that Adam was Cain’s biological father, not Satan!
Note what else Scripture says. In the Bible, those who follow the devil in sin and rebellion are his offspring, while those who turn from sin to follow Christ are His offspring—the children of God:
- The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has
sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy
the works of the devil. No one who is
born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God (1 Jn. 3:8-9) [bold added] - By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious:
anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does
not love his brother (1 Jn. 3:10). [bold added] - I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to
kill Me, because My word has no place in you…They answered and said to Him,
“Abraham is our father.”
Jesus said to them, “If you are Abraham’s children, do the deeds of Abraham…Jesus
said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God,
for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me…. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer
from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth
in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies (Jn.

beginning, that we should love one another;
not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother.
And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his

Note these precious truths from Genesis 3:15 explained by esteemed Bible commentator Matthew Henry centuries ago—truths betrayed and forsaken by those preaching the “Serpent Seed” heresy. Genesis 3:14-15 is all about JESUS, our Redeemer!

reconciled, nor light and darkness; no more can Satan and a sanctified soul.
Also, there is a continual struggle between the wicked and the godly in this
world. A gracious promise is here made
of Christ, as the Deliverer of fallen man from the power of Satan. Here was
the dawn of the gospel day: no sooner was the wound given, than the remedy was
provided and revealed. This gracious revelation of a Saviour came unasked, and
unlooked for. Without a revelation of mercy, giving some hope of forgiveness,
the convinced sinner would sink into despair, and be hardened. By faith in this
promise, our first parents, and the patriarchs before the flood, were justified
and saved. Notice is given concerning Christ.
