THE GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER

Evangelical prayer initiatives have been going on for decades, and some of them have been high profile semi-civic events. In the summer of 2005 Susan J. Conway and I researched a new twist on this corporate form of prayer intercession. The Global Day of Prayer incorporated scripted prayers that were to be rehearsed in unison in large crowds. There was a noticeable theological agenda in the prayers that went beyond Scripture into inculcating the new doctrines arising with the New Apostolic Reformation. When we set up the Herescope blog we continued to publish articles about the themes brought forth in this two-part article.
