STATEMENT OF FAITH

I believe God is one God, yet the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Spirit is God. At the same time, the Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit, the Son is not the Father or the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father or the Son. They are distinct from one another, yet they are God who is One, and none of them are forces or powers or influences or any such thing. Though the word "Trinity" is not in Scripture, the God as three Persons is.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came from heaven, the eternal Word become flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin.

I believe that Jesus Christ is eternal and always existed with Father and the Holy Spirit.

I believe Jesus Christ died as the sacrifice for the sins of all men and there can never be any more sacrifice made for sin. I believe His atoning sacrifice only benefits those who receive Him by faith.

I believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead as prophesied in scripture and that He ascended into heaven on behalf of sinners on the basis of His shed blood.

I believe Jesus Christ was and is the only sacrifice for the sins of all men that was forever accepted by the Father as the only acceptable sacrifice.

I believe Jesus Christ sent the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit, from heaven after His glorification at the right hand of God, to draw men to the Father through His finished work and to indwell all who believe.

I believe Jesus Christ will return immediately after the tribulation for all those who are His while He empties God's wrath on all of the ungodly of the world. This return will be bodily, visible to all, in the clouds of the sky at which time He will gather the Church to Himself, the Church being those who have been born again and the remnant of Judaism who believe on Him as He returns.

I believe that a person must be born again from above, of the Spirit, to be saved through Jesus Christ and His finished work.

I believe salvation is by Grace through faith apart from works and is not an ongoing process to earn one's own salvation. The works of a Christian do not lead to his salvation, but rather issue forth from him because of salvation.

I believe each one of us must personally know and receive the saving knowledge of God.

I believe the gifts of the Spirit are still relevant and working today, though I also believe there are many counterfeits of these and that discernment is at a premium when evaluating any proposed manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that God's words were inspired and preserved down through the ages and are (along with His Spirit) all we need to sustain us until the return of Christ.
